What’s that you say? Lace she-oak is one of those really rare species from Australia which usually only comes to light after there’s been a brush fire. This piece has all the char marls still on it. It’s destined to be table top. I’m normally not real fond of the “live edge” ski chalet look (when done right, it looks like a George Nakashima rip-off), but this piece was just too perfect for any other use. I’ll leave the top loose, so one can flip it over and enjoy both sides as one sees fit.
